A. While it's generally best to wait until around 6 months to introduce solid foods to a baby, including biscuits, you can typically start introducing finger foods like well-dissolved or mashed soft fruits and cooked vegetables around 6-8 months. However, biscuits might not be the ideal choice for a 9-month-old. Many commercial biscuits may contain added sugars, salt, and other ingredients that may not be suitable for a baby's developing digestive system. Instead, consider offering age-appropriate alternatives like: 1. **Soft Teething Biscuits:** Look for specially designed teething biscuits that are easy to dissolve and gentle on baby's gums. 2. **Whole Grain Baby Cereal:** You can offer plain, iron-fortified baby cereal made with whole grains. 3. **Soft Fruits and Vegetables:** Mashed bananas, avocados, or well-cooked and mashed sweet potatoes are good options. Before introducing any new food, it's important to consult with your pediatrician. They can provide guidance based on your baby's individual needs, and they may offer specific recommendations on when and how to introduce certain foods.
