A. Red rashes on a baby’s back and skin are often caused by heat, sweat, or irritation from clothing or diapers. To prevent them, keep the baby's skin cool and dry by dressing her in loose, breathable cotton clothes. Avoid overdressing, especially in warm weather. Use a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer and baby soap, and change diapers frequently. Make sure to dry skin folds well after baths. If the rashes persist or worsen, consult a pediatrician to rule out infections or allergies.
