#AskTheExpert Asslamualikum sir my baby is suffering from cold and Chouf actually 3days befor he was not drinking milk I to to the dr he said he has pain in his through he give antibiotics but Suddenly he started chording and his chest is full what should I do

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough and Cold should be ideally treated only after a proper clinical examination by a doctor.it may be any infective or allergic.it is not so related to food items like banana etc.but seasonal changes may aggravate.
if with fever too ,calpol can be given three times a day.give steam and nasoclear drops can also be used multiple times.
Cough Syrup or nebculization should be given according to the type of cough .self medication is not advisable. if the cough is productive you can give kufril-ls syrup for now .avoid refrigerated items and give only simple home-made preparations as required.child will gradually begin to eat as symptoms resolve.at times coughing may take more time to resolve.
