Q.

#AskTheExpert 5months old baby is having cold, using nasal drops from 2days n cough drops from 1day still not reduced what can be done now??

A. Keep the child well covered and cover the ears and neckof the child properly to prevent t temperature variations. Give nasal saline drops every 3 hours which will help in decreasing both cough and cold. You can also go for indirect steam m inhalation. Continue to keep milk on regular basis. If the child is well hydrated then cough and cold will improve rapidly

A. hi dear Saline drops do not contain medication. This is why they are often recommended for people of all ages. Pediatricians may recommend saline drops for infants when they are congested. 1 It can, however, be challenging to put drops in a baby's nose.
