#AskTheExpert 2 month old baby having white horizontal lines near tip of nails, what does this indicate? As it is winter we use to cover baby hands with mittens,Is it because of covering hands with mittens or Does it indicate any deficiency?

A. white spots on the nail most commonly occurs due to trauma on the nails. very rarely it might be associated with nutritional deficiency and most commonly iron ddeficiency. no treatment is required and gradually the white spots will disappeard
