Q.

#AskTheExpert 10.5 month girl baby, how to increase the weight ? she is just 7.5 kg and have food (rice with sweet potato, peas, carrot, palak given) and fruits literally we are worried how to work on this.

A. 7.5 kg is normal weight. Give three major meal and one snack a day Continue with breast feeding or formula milk feeding in between and on demand. You can give Daal Khichdi with adding variety of veggies like Spinach, potatoes, beans, carrot, pumpkin. Give Ragi , makkhana, rice, suji porridge, suji kheer, oats. Give fruits like peach, pear, apple, avcado, banana in pureed form or mashed form. Give wheat Dalia adding veggies. curd rice, curd roti (soaked), Daal roti (mashed and soaked) is one of the best meal for babies.. You can add few drops of ghee and dry fruits Powder in each preparation to enhance nutritional value.
