#askthe expert today my 45 days old baby boy is vaccinated. he is crying and not sleeping at all. even if I apply ice cube on his leg he is crying for that cool temparature. how can he get relaxation please suggest me

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy2 years agoA. when fever and pain comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain. paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day. you can also apply ice over the injecdtion site. if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel. vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other caudses of fever

SanthoshiMom of a 8 yr 3 m old girl2 years agoA. You can use ice. Your baby or child may cry for a little while after a vaccination, but they should feel better after a cuddle. Sometimes the area where the needle goes in can be sore and red for 2 to 3 days. This should go away on its own. Some children may also develop a high temperature (fever).
