Lovleena MishraMom of 2 children4 years agoA. Create a relaxed atmosphere for eating : Avoid distractions like TV, tablets, mobile phones, laptops etc, the entire family should eat together so that the kid learns good and healthy eating habits from parents, grandparents and siblings.
Set a routine for your kid's mealtimes : Maintain an organised routine so that it becomes easy for your kid to fall into a regular eating pattern.
Increase the intake of calories : full fat dairy products, cream cheese, mayonnaise or puddings made from milk.
Vitamin Supplements : After consulting with your doctor, Vitamin A, C and D supplements can be given to your kid.
Offer his or her favourite foods along with the new foods that you want to introduce in his or her diet.
Offer finger foods and healthy snacks like oats, granola bar, cereal bars, peanut butter crackers etc.
Offer fresh fruit juices.
Give potatoes, avocados, pineapples, papaya, mangoes, bananas, nuts like walnuts, cashews, peanuts, almonds, seeds like sesame seeds and pumpkin seeds, milkshakes garnished with nuts, badam halwa, omelettes or scrambled eggs, egg sandwich or boiled eggs, use jaggery instead of sugar, etc.
