#askdoctors hello doctor. my baby is 4 and half month old. her birth weight is 2.650kg and current weight is 5.3kg. she is totally on breastfeeding. when we consulted pediatrician he said her weight is low and start giving formula milk. she refuses formula milk. what should we do?

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello, your baby girl is 4.5 months old and her weight is 5.6 kg which is less than normal as her birth weight was also low so give her calcium vitamin d3 supplements

The weight of ur baby is fine. The weight gets double the birth weight by five months.
So ur baby is already double her birth weight in four and half months.
Also some babies they take time to adjust to new habit. So keep trying giving formula milk
