as my babby is 19 month old he is not waking properly and he is not taking any word like mama papa

I'm professional speech therapist & mother of 18 months old boy. my boy communicates his most of need verbally.. ideally, baby should speak about 50 words by this age. you should avoid gesture while talking to baby, reduce screen time n keep on talking/narrating every action you so with the child.. for further, you may contact me or nearby speech therapist

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 11 m old boy3 years agoA. proper language / speech development will start between 18 months of age to 3 years of age. there is no need to worry before that just concentrate on the diet and regular interaction with the child. also speech and language develops properly with more people available to interact with the child avoid usage of tv mobile and laptop because they are the most common reasons for delayed speech and language development. the most important thing is that before speech, understanding of the commands given by the parents should be prefsent. by 18 months if the child is not following basic commands then only you have to meet the doctor for speech and development assessment. requirement of speech therapy will also be discussed by your doctor.

Manali K MehtaMom of 2 children3 years agoA. hi parent Some babies leanr to speak little later reduce her screen time talk to her maintaining eye contact tell her stories. don't scold her for minute reasons. take sunbath daily with her head and ears covered in the morning
