A. For a mosquito bite in a 7-month-old baby, you should use gentle, baby-safe options. Here's what you can try: 1. Cream for Mosquito Bites (Safe for Babies): Calamine Lotion (like Caladryl or Lacto Calamine for kids): Soothes itching and irritation. Candid TV or Candid Lotion (if there's redness or fungal risk) – use only after pediatrician advice. Baby-safe mosquito bite creams (like Mamaearth After-Bite Roll On or Himalaya After-Bite Cream): These are specifically made for babies and help reduce itching and swelling. 2. Oral Syrup (Only if needed and with doctor’s advice): Cetirizine Syrup (Antihistamine): If the baby is very irritable or has swelling/redness from bites, doctors may suggest this. Usual dose: As per weight, so only give after confirming with your pediatrician. Home Tips: Apply cold compress or a clean cloth dipped in cold water to reduce swelling. Avoid scratching the area to prevent infection. Dress baby in full sleeves and use a mosquito net around her sleeping area.
