it can be but always it does not, it could also indicate that the baby tends to just love to latch and they like to do this hence best to use mittens
Anchal SinghMom of a 2 m old girl4 days agoA. Most common reasons 🤱👶
1. Comfort / self-soothing
Babies often suck or lick their hands to relax. It helps them feel calm and secure—even if they’re already full.
2. Hunger cues (sometimes)
If it happens soon after feeding, it doesn’t always mean hunger.
But if you also notice:Turning head side to side (rooting)
Crying shortly after
Trying to latch again
3. Developmental milestone (very common at 2 months)
