4 month old baby pass stool in green colour is anything problem

A. No problem if the consistency of the motion is normal as it could be due to formula milk but if the stools are watery frothy foul smelling then give ORS abd zinc drops

A. When green stools are normal: 1. Breastfed babies: Sometimes babies who get more foremilk (the thinner, watery milk at the start of a feed) than hindmilk (the rich, fatty milk at the end) may pass green stools. This can happen if the baby is switching breasts too quickly. 2. Formula-fed babies: Iron-fortified formula or certain ingredients can cause greenish stools. 3. Mild illness or teething: Teething or a mild cold can sometimes cause a slight change in stool color.
