2months old baby can I give a water for constipation? any problem

A. you should not give water until your baby is 6 month old. For 2 month old baby you must not give water because it may affect kidney function and can cause water retention. Breast milk have 70% of water. So breast milk is enough for your 2 month baby.If your baby is feeding well and passing urine means constipation for 2 or 3 days is not a concern. If it continues more than 4 days, visit your pediatrician.

A. No do not give water, For the first 6 months of life, babies need only breast milk or infant formula, which provides all the nutrition and hydration they require.
