Q.

14 week vaccine administered yesterday.. after 3-4 hours baby got fever it's disappeared at night after giving paracetamol drops as adviced.. however the fever reappeared again today.. how long vaccine fever last?

A. post vaccination fever No need to worry for pain, fever, swelling after vaccination. Its common after vaccination If baby is crancky , exessive cry, swelling and fever then Give paracetmol drops to baby for 1-2 days Fever, pain will decreases in next 1 -2 days Don't apply anything over vaccination site It cause decrease in the efficiency of given vaccine Cont. to give feed as per demand Keep ur baby well hydrated Keep a watch on urine output Baby should pass minimum urine 6-8 times per day Swelling will take it's own time to disappear. sl

A. hello when the child is having fever you should put the medicine once in every 6 hours to 8 hours for a day or two and complete the dosage as advised by your doctor so there fever will not repeat again which would be better and safe
