What pH Value One Should Look For While Choosing a Baby Care Product?
When a baby is born the skin pH is 7 unlike adult's healthy skin which has a pH of 5.5. Moreover, the baby’s skin is 20% thinner and very delicate hence needs specialized care. Using alkaline baby skin and hair care products with a pH >7 even if they are natural can damage the protective barrier, leading to skin dryness and roughness and might lead to increase in skin infections.Tell us what do you think about using pH 5.5 products for your baby's healthy skin.Gratification - 3 Lucky Winners to get a SebaMed Gift Hamper worth Rs. 800

Being a doctor myself, I suggest pH 5.5. Also, I check for pH on various products using color changing pH STRIPS which are easily available across the various chedist shops.

I have my 1st baby around 2.5 years back. when i hold him in my arms, he was so delicate and his skin was so light, delicate and soft and i was afraid of using any product on his skin. When i used sebamed products, they are really nice and i saw effectiveness of sebamed product esp when few times my baby has rashes and then used sebamed rash cream. It was really very effective.
This was my personal experience.

At technical level, yes ... i think it is good to maintain pH value for 5.5 to prevent it from infections as there skin are very delicate unline adults.
