When a baby is born the skin pH is 7 unlike adult's healthy skin which has a pH of 5.5. Moreover, the baby’s skin is 20% thinner and very delicate hence needs specialized care. Using alkaline baby skin and hair care products with a pH >7 even if they are natural can damage the protective barrier, leading to skin dryness and roughness and might lead to increase in skin infections. Using Sebamed baby care products with pH 5.5 benefits supports the development of the protective barrier of the skin that keeps skin hydrated, free from infections and rashes.

How Do You Decide Which Cleanser to Use for Your Baby? 🧴 (Soap Vs. Syndet)
Moms and Dads, when it comes to your baby’s delicate skin, what you use to cleanse matters! 💧But with so many baby cleansers available, how do you choose the right one? Do you know the difference between soap and syndet? And most importantly, do you check the ingredient list for SLS?Traditional soaps can be alkaline and may disrupt the skin’s natural pH, potentially leaving delicate baby skin feeling dry or uncomfortable. Syndet-based cleansers, on the other hand, are formulated with mild cleansing agents and can help cleanse while being gentle on the skin. And here’s one important thing to remember: NO SLS! 🚫SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) is a strong cleansing surfactant that can be harsh on delicate skin. When choosing a cleanser for your baby, make “NO SLS” one of the key things you look for on the label. 🔍Look for a gentle cleanser that:1️⃣ Is a syndet rather than traditional soap?2️⃣ Has an ideal pH of 5.5 to help respect your baby’s delicate skin?3️⃣ Is formulated with NO SLS to provide gentle cleansing?4️⃣ Helps keep your baby’s skin soft, moisturized, and protected from dryness? With gentle, scientifically formulated skincare like Baby Sebamed, choosing the right cleanser can become a simple and confident part of your baby’s daily routine. 💚We’d love to hear from you:When choosing a cleanser for your baby, what matters most to you?Do you check whether it is soap-free, syndet-based, pH 5.5, or—most importantly—NO SLS?Share your tips, experiences, and your favourite Baby Sebamed products in the comments below! 💬 Two lucky winners will win FirstCry vouchers worth ₹250 each!Join the conversation, share your thoughts, and stand a chance to win! ✨
