What pH Value One Should Look For While Choosing a Baby Care Product?

When a baby is born the skin pH is 7 unlike adult's healthy skin which has a pH of 5.5. Moreover, the baby’s skin is 20% thinner and very delicate hence needs specialized care. Using alkaline baby skin and hair care products with a pH >7 even if they are natural can damage the protective barrier, leading to skin dryness and roughness and might lead to increase in skin infections.Tell us what do you think about using pH 5.5 products for your baby's healthy skin.Gratification - 3 Lucky Winners to get a SebaMed Gift Hamper worth Rs. 800

while choosing a baby product one should be careful about the ph level which should be 5.5 and the product should free from parabens so it doesnt effect the babies skin , moreover the product does not have any harsh chemicals because new born babies have very thin layer of skin compare to adults ....

Healthy people have a skin PH between 4.5 and 6, and the ideal PH for babies is considered to be 5.5. Many products are not optimized for baby skin, and can be either too acidic or alkaline.
