I suppose women who are forced to accept these age old practices are basically married to men who have no backbone, who care more for other things and people than the person who they actually are supposed to care about.Women must not marry a man who treats her this was , and does not care for her wishes and dreams

It\'s not necessary to be a sanskari bahu coz even if u die doing for others nobody else vil even recognize it...
Just like grandparents have changed a bahu is also free to do vat she wishes .
Earlier grandparents used to take care of grandkids....feed them,massage them,giving them a bath...but these days no grandma is interested in it....so if bahu only has to take care of these things as well then excuse her coz she is already overloaded with a lots of work....stop expecting from her...
a happy family is where nobody is overburdened...

but not same with all, there are some good in laws too who are like parents.

to break this just stay real you..no need to do anything like these.and both husband and wife can make a difference to these stereotype thinking by talking to inlaws ...another u can be urself ,care ur inlaws,just perform ur duties and let it all depends on one\'s thinking..even doing the all stereo act u cant make anyone happy bcoz it is depends on person..so just dont try to act as sanskari bahu to make inlws happy even it will not make them happy if they not want..as u can see ladies in old times performs all ths but still facing lot of problems..it is all aboyt generation gap that elders and we have..
