Here in India the expectation is different in every house. I have seen at places where they expect their bahu to wake up and do all work but there are houses where they don't expect this. But the expectation is listen to them their ideas and they are the bosses. You are just a slave around. I think its fine to do all household chores if you enjoy and have time for it.

you are working you can be frustated sometimes with juggling of yourself between work and child

A women is expected to be an all-rounder. Sankari bahu doesn\'t mean u have to be a typical bahu being at home. Respect elders , know and fulfill everyone needs and love and be loved.

moder \'sanskari bahu\' is far more ahead of the age old concept. they are equally handeling work place n home!! they are not compromising bt following living their dreams n performing house hold duties with super perfection. so to break to age old concept of \'sanskari bahu\' we need to make our in laws understand the value of self dependence. a bahu can go office regularly n do household woeks wid little help from their in laws. so they need supports from in laws to do their job at jome n office perfectly. with that lite help their life would b much more better.
