It is totally upon mom's personal choice and priority.. whether she wants to be fit or stay as she is. No one should comment on this becos all the struggle and pain gone through she was no one can understand so repairing her mindset by love and companion is more important than repairing her body.. as of course after a baby her baby is her first priority rather than herself.. that's why mom is mom..

The media has always shamelessly paraded the patriarchal mindset that women's bodies are public property, to be commented upon and controlled. Due to internalised misogyny many women, including highly educated ones, put a lot of pressure on other women to lose weight. Weight and witness are different things. Going back to our previous or better fitness level takes a couple of years. As a breastfeeding mom, I won't go for it till my baby is able to sustain on food other than milk. I'm very confident of gaining fitness because I have always lived a healthy lifestyle.

it's my 9th month and I went for another doctor consultation who will be there at the time of delivery and right from 1st meeting she is scolding and yelling at me saying you are fat you are obese needs to control and I was like I am afraid a lot and she doesn't knw me my condition and how can I control my weight now what is expecting from me at this stage where she needs to give me support .she's giving me negativity bt due to my inlaws and husband I have to bear her .
You are paying that doctor for consultation. So don't let her bully you or scold you. She can suggest in a helpful way. Tell your family and husband that you are not able to relate to her. Your life and post-partum health depends on her. If she's gonna blame your weight, she is sure going to use it if anything goes wrong from her. No one should feel scared for a service they are paying for.

Look and color complexes r always been priority in Indian culture. To be fit n healthy is most important n every one should do efforts for it. But it ll take time in journey of motherhood as life gonna to change by 360 degree. N people won’t understand you Cz they aren’t fit in your shoes. So ignore them.

Fitness is very important and so is postpartum weight loss. However, the important part is that the staying fit part should not be for someone else to comment on but for ourself and our wellbeing. No one has the authority to judge or criticise anyone let alone body shaming.

the recent media is so u forgiving to new mothers, esp one on public eye, and it affects normal mother's too, as they feel pressurised to look perfect like a certain actress did after her pregnancy, first they have loss of help at hand which not all of us can afford, second that is the need of their profession, not ours.
Getting fit after pregnancy is not bad thing , one should always try to be fit and active but we need to understand not to make it out only goal or feel depressed about it.
We as women should support each other and not pass comments on other women who are not able to loose weight or are on upper side of weighing scale.

Actually nothing matters as long as you n your baby are healthy..being healthy is the only priority because only if you are fit n fine then u can properly take care of your baby....
Also it is our responsibility to stay in shape ,look good not for others ,not because what others will think.. but only for yourself because u deserve to look so...

For me the experience is not good so far, my complexion has degraded by 2 layers and look weak after delivery till now. People keep on commenting for my looks but jo one ever mention about how hard I work and manage both office and home amd my baby in addition how low nutrient and less I eat. I do for others but miss doing for myself somehow..

Not all mothers have the luxury to hire a nanny and run off to the gym. Some mothers even struggle having to take a bath with the baby wailing. During such times, fit or fat is not a concern but tking care of the baby is. As such, I believe what is important is that new moms manage to get through this phase without pressure of having to look fit or bounce back to pre-pregnancy days. Looking after a new born and taking care of it is more than all the accolades rather than looking slim or fit.
and it gets tougher when you are a working women too doing 9-5 job.
