My husband's role? He was the base supporter for my breastfeeding journey. I had greater dreams like they show in movies - the nurse hands over the baby to the mom right after the labour for golden hour feeding. Damn! I fainted the next minute I stood up due to prolonged labour pain and exhaustion. She was fed with formula milk 😢 When I came back to my senses, I got to have a chance of holding her and the nurse tried to help me with the first breastmilk feed. Guess what, her mouth didn't fit my nipple, my baby tried to latch but failed. I started crying and again she was fed with formula. Within hours suddenly my dress was wet with colostrum milk. Me & my husband knew how important this colostrum milk was, immediately he rushed out of the hospital room and came back with a manual breast pump and asked me to pump and store it. I was shocked, I thought he didn't listen to my prenatal classes even though he was with me, but he did. I did pump the colostrum, my mom and my husband took turns and fed her. I was so happy that she was at least able to drink my milk. My husband got me a feeding pillow, automatic recliner sofa, a stool to adjust my leg and also holds my nipple and makes my baby latch it. From the very first day till this minute when I am typing this post, because of my husband, now my baby latches herself and I feed her happily. Now my husband hand feeds me and himself food while I feed her and he happily does it. Both momma and baby are happy happy 💞

It's day Or night, my partner always there to help me. He always use to put the back support, he feed me before he eats and always go to the articles to gain his knowledge about breastfeeding like what to eat and what not to.
During traveling also he make sure I should have the safe and secure place for breastfeeding. If I forgot something he always there to remind me.
Because of covid we didn't have elders support physically. To me breastfeeding became possible and enjoyable not only because of my baby but also because of my better half.

I always welcome ready and excited to experience new experiences, be it new place, job or pregnancy.
But never thought breast feeding will be so difficult to learn. on 2nd day post delivery when I started to breast feed, n my baby boy was hungry and super cranky(my husband try to make him calm for me to get ready to feed). it was difficult to hold him, make him calm, point him to take nipples for feeding, make him comfortable in proper position. A feeling in which you are new, scared, weak, in pain and yet you have a courage and duty to feed your baby.
all this time my husband was handling my mood swings, cheering me to be positive and strong, googling the best ideas for me to give best to our baby. as everything was new for both.
ps- he clicked this picture when I was crying at hospital (2nd day post delivery)

my partner was very helpful during my pregnancy.. he used to keep pillows behind my back during feeding.. sometimes hold baby in arms in comfortable position so that I can feed baby.. he always used to take baby on shoulder to burp after feeding.. help me relive pain wen milk secretion was more and gland swollen

Partner plays important role in breast feeding. They can help moms in various ways like helping in burp, feeding the pumped milk to baby. This can give rest to mother.
