Your Baby this Week
A child who has discovered cruising will “walk” around a room, and at the same time, take the support of furniture and other surfaces as well. In order to encourage walking, hold your child’s hands as he stands before you, and to see if he could take a step towards you. Storytelling is a fun activity to share as well. As your child gets older, he increasingly loves to hear about himself. And don’t forget about the classic fairy tales or Mother Goose stories that you can retell in their own words. You can find a lot of books with these stories in the library, or internet. Make it lively to grab your baby’s attention.
