My Big Day Finally Arrived – It Was Time to Meet My Baby!
Finally, the day had arrived, for which I had been eagerly waiting. I am a mommy of a 7 year old girl, and I was blessed with a boy on 21st October, 2020, by God’s grace. This time, I had the problem of a low placenta from the start of my pregnancy. Doctors suggested that I take bed rest, but I couldn’t, as during this pandemic, none of the maids could come, so I had to do all the household work myself. My pregnancy took place in such a situation.
My doctor told me that if the placenta does not move upwards, I would have to go through with a Caesarean section. I was worried about my delivery, as earlier, I had had a normal one. My husband prepared and helped me by telling me not to worry, we will have that C-section done, and everything will be fine. But, at the end of my pregnancy, the placenta moved upwards. Both of us were very happy.
We went for my weekly check-up on 19th October, and that day, the doctor checked up internally, and said it will take a week more for the baby to come. We came back home, and conveyed the message to our parents. But, who knew that the baby will come after only a day! On the night of 20th October, I started feeling pains. I thought they might be false pains, but they continued the whole night. I consulted my doctor in the early morning, and she said, come with your bag packed to the clinic; after that I can tell you. If I think that you have to be admitted, then you immediately go to the hospital. Otherwise, you can go home. We went to her clinic, and she said, don’t delay, get admitted in the hospital soon; within 2 hours, you should have your baby in your arms.
It was a happy moment for us. Finally, we got our baby boy through a normal delivery. Though it was very painful for me, all the pain went away just by looking at my baby. My family was complete. Thanks, Almighty.
