As a new mom, before introducing solids to my baby, I did many studies to figure it what is good for them and how to introduce each food item. After many rejections from my baby, I learned how to reintroduce the same to them differently. Here one needs to be mindful of the timeline to be followed while reintroducing the same food item.
The same goes for allergens such as nuts as well. These have to be tested individually for babies and only then mixed. Nuts are a choking hazard, so it needs to be in a powdered format or else halved.
All in all, after testing many recipes, I found a recipe that any toddler will gobble up in no time. Curious? read below to find out…
Clarified Butter (Ghee)
Cinnamon powder – 1 pinch
Nuts powder (I used almonds, cashew & Flaxseeds)
Cardamom powder – 1 pinch
1. Peel the skin and grate the apple
2. In a pan, add ghee; after a few minutes, mix with grated apple
3. Cook for 5 mins and then add cinnamon and cardamom powder
4. Finally, add the nuts powder and mix it for few seconds
5. Serve it hot
Nuts powder Recipe
1. Almonds – 50g
2. Cashew – 50g
3. Walnuts -50g
4. Flax seeds -50g
5. Pumpkin seeds – 50 g
6. Pistachio – 50 g
1. Dry roast them in a pan for 3 to 4 minutes
2. Once it has cooled down, grind them to make a powder
3. Store in air containers.
