Why It Is OK for Moms to Not Have a Plan

Motherhood is easy, said no one ever! Did anyone realise how effortlessly a woman becomes once she is a mother? There is no parenting book which can ever tell you how and what exactly is right for the baby. You can get some guidance, but people can be wrong, and things which worked for another baby may not work exactly the same way for your little one. There is no right or wrong. You need to have faith in yourself, and trust your instinct; it is always right.

Being a first-time mom is a real struggle. There is so much you have to deal the second your baby is born. But, it is OK to relax and take one step at a time. It is going to be a fun ride. Don’t rush into things and think everything through. Your just a little human, get help when you need it, and don’t be shy!

It is also OK to not get the things done in the first attempt. Try again and again till you get the desired result. Soon after my daughter’s birth, I was convinced a particular lotion was the best product for my baby. It is a good product, but it didn’t work for my baby. Then, I moved on to some other product, but I didn’t like that either. The third time, I used another product, and it worked! I like it too, and I still think it is the right lotion for my baby.

People kept telling me to buy other brands, but I settled for the one which I think suits my baby. My point is – being a first-timer, it is alright to be wrong at times because you will eventually get the right thing. Not everything works the same way for everyone. It doesn’t have to be. Therefore, don’t stress on it. Do things as per your comfort, and don’t let anyone ruin your vibe.
