Being a Mother of Four is a Struggle, Yet I’m a Winner

Being a mother is lovely, joyful playful, tiring, even messy at times. A mother has so many responsibilities whether it’s for a newborn, two-year-old, five-year-old or 30-year-old.

I am the mother of four kids and don’t have any “me-time”. It’s the toughest part of my life as my kiddos are too young. A simple way I manage them is by being calm as there may be many challenges in life relating to their health, their food, their growth and later on their academics too. At a very early age, kids frequently get ill coz of teething, it becomes hectic for both parents. They become ill, restless, fever… the list goes on, I have gone through many things, it’s not easy being the mother of four.

Having a baby means a big responsibility, new begining and a lot of compromises in a good way, still sacrificing alot. We should be a good example for every one around. At times, I feel very lonely as I don’t have time for myself and my husband. We have to take time out with kids or else we will always be busy to maintain relationships. We have to take out time… we sometimes feel there is no spark left but no, it’s just for a few days till kids grow up, then we will have plenty of time, inshallah.

Still, I find some time to bake a cake by myself on birthdays and anniversaries which definitely brings a smile on their faces. As it is said way, the way to the heart is through the stomach, by Allah’s grace, I am a good cook which makes sundays special. Also planning a picnic outing with kids and spouse could be a good use of our time.

I was a financial analyst but it’s absolutely great being a super mom. Once they grow up, I will surely start doing something again professionally. Already started implementing it… every thing has to be planned, it may take some time but I have faith that miracle will happen some day.

One thing I have learnt is never to get discouraged. Keep going where life takes you and have patience….

As you sow so shall you reap. Giving time to the family will definitely bring good result from our kids too.
