Q.

yesterday baby get vaccine of 15 months. i give him paracetamol he is fine but in evening fever aren't getting low even after medicine. medicine work for some time and fever comes again what to do?

A. when fever comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain. paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day. you can also apply ice over the injection site. if there is locall swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel. vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever

A. Hi You have not mention the figure of the temperature but if it is somewhere around hundred also then it would be normal to be on the safer side you can do Thande Paani ki patti and can repeat the medicine again after six hours also keep an ice cube on though the area with a vaccination has been definitely help in settling the swelling down
