Q.

Will milk production reduce in summers? My daughter is 5 months 22 days old. And I am not getting milk as earlier. Can you let me know what's going on?

A. In summers, make sure that you are drinking enough. Signs of dehydration include irritability, headache, dry mouth, a feeling of thirst and darker than usual urine. Prevent yourself getting dehydrated by carrying a refillable water bottle with you. Drink a glass of water every time your baby drinks. Eat more high water content fruits like water melon, frozen fruits and other fresh fruits and vegetables. A breast pump can help by providing additional stimulation and milk demand. Eating fenugreek seeds help.
