A. During teething, children often put fingers, thumbs, and objects in their mouths due to gum pain. Keep their hands and objects clean to prevent infection. Press their gums gently or give paracetamol for pain relief. This behavior typically resolves itself, but poor hygiene may cause infections and illness.
