Why salt and sugar not given to babies before 12 months

A. dear Mum the salt requirements of the baby are very less so added salt is not required also kidney of the baby is not mature to process salt before 12 months sugar is avoided till 12 months to avoid dental problems and overweight

A. As it is believed that a child can be hyperactive salt and sugar is given to the child under the age of one year which is why a lot of doctors say that it is not advisable to be given but at the same time a lot of doctors say that salt can be given for proper flavour and tasting but sugar should be avoided so you can replace it with jaggery or dates if you want to add sweetness
