ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist4 years agoA. Dear parent, what’s your child’s current weight and birth weight? Baby should gain at least 500 grams per month and should double the birth weight by 6 months or earlier. For healthy weight gain, exclusively breastfeed your child till 6 months complete. At one episode of breast feeding feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain.
