Q.

Why do doctors nowadays suggest not to give water to small babies? I've asked it to doctors in Mumbai as well as in Dubai

A. Water has no calories but fills your baby nevertheless. This will make him less interested in drinking milk. It could also result in weight loss and increased bilirubin levels. and breast milk itself has 8p to 90 % of water. Giving water at early age gets water intoxication.
