As far as starting the solid food journey of your child, there are certain food items are great to start with such as porridge (daliya), fruit purees, mashed fruits, kheer, curd, khitchdi. Once the child gets used to eating these, you can try adding mashed potatoes, dal chawal, boiled veggies, even chapati in your kid's diet.

as taking food other than the breastmilk is new for a child.
he or she not used to of it ,so it is advisable to start with liquid diet like dal Pani, rice starch which is easy to digest.
initially,give such food items in few spoons of quantity .
once your baby feel comfortable with it and accept it well , you can increase the consistency of food and also add other food items in your child diet.
