one should ensure that the child should get a proper balanced diet which contains all types of nutrients essential for growth.
any kind of infection specially any chronic infectiion should be ruled out and treated which may hamper the growth otherwise.
after 2 yeadrs of age you can give some powder like kids Pro/ prohance junior mix in milk twice a day for one or two months.

for Healthy weight gain ,you can offer Healthy food items in meal and snacks too.
you can offer Healthy snacks like pieces of boiled potato , sweet potato or chickpea.
you can also offer full cream milk with dry fruits powder.
give milk ,milk based products more.
