Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy1 Year agoA. sitting without support and crawling in children may sometimes come after one year of age also. if the growth of the child is proper no need to worry. just take care of regular diet and baby massage which will help in strengthening thex muscles needed for sitting and crawling. in some cases crawling may be absent in children and directly the child will begin to stand with support and later walk with support and then without support. take a medical check up done to confirm if there is need of any intervention.

You can make your child sit with support from the age of six months completion and by the age of eight months to 8.5 months we expect a child to learn to sit independently if that does not happen then it’s advisable to take a further check up with the paediatrician
