A. As a mom, I've learned that once your baby is one year old , you can start giving them the same foods you prepare for the family. Just remember to use less salt and spices. Don't worry if your toddler goes through phases of only eating one type of food; it's pretty common. To prevent nutritional deficiencies during these picky phases, consider adding something like a multigrain health drink or dry fruits powder to their diet. These are great for packing in essential nutrients in small quantities. Also, don't forget to keep your little one hydrated with plenty of water throughout the day. Breastfeeding is wonderful for as long as both you and your baby are comfortable with it. However, if you're thinking about weaning, try to do it gently to minimize any distress for your toddler. For more guidance on what to feed your little one, I found the food chart from 'My Little Moppet' really helpful. It's full of recipes that are common in Indian households and perfect for toddlers..
