A. Dear mum it could be that the formula milk is causing constipation and not suiting the baby. I will suggest you to please consult the pediatric and discuss which formula milk will be good to give. My sister's baby was also suffering from constipation and he suggested her to switch to Aptamil Gold formula milk. It has Prebiotic HMO's in it that makes the gut healthy and eases digestion for the babies. Since she started to give this formula milk her baby was no more constipated and had no colic issues as well. The doctor suggested Stage 1 as it is suitable for 0 to 6 month old babies. You can discuss about it with your doctor and see if he suggests you to give.

A. Stool pattern of small children changes from time to time. It can be more than 7 times per day also and sometimes the child will not pass stool for 10 days also. The most important thing is the consistency of the stool and if it is Semi solid to solid or semi liquidd then there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as colour as well as the smell of the stool Also straining and crying while passing urine and stool is very normalx. the crying of the child is due to colic pain and not due to constipation
