What should be approximate weight for a 5 year old boy? I want to know if my baby is overweight?

However, children at this age can vary by as much as 5 inches in height. A standard height is around 39 to 48 inches for a 5-year-old boy or girl, and a normal weight is between 34 and 50 pounds.
