Weaning food can be started from 5-6 months of age and in that initially in the initial stage you can introduce some semi solid food to the baby like Bannana mango plum boiled Apple and then gradually you can start with some purie of carrot potato and some other foods which can be given are porridge of suji sabudana which can be prepared in breast milk or formula milk.
initially you can start with one or two tsp which can be gradually increased up till at least three meals in a day

It is going to be semi-liquid to begin with and then gradually semi solid not solid so I would say go ahead with rice and dal water swiftly you can shift to vegetables and fruits purée porridge khichadi mashed banana mashed potato all kind of fruits and vegetables can be given to the child along with that you can go ahead with giving amount of dairy products to the child and of water buttermilk coconut water these things are important but water is definitely the most important thing to be given to the child
