Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children4 years agoA. Check the temperature with a digital or mercury thermometer. Keep it under the baby's arm pit and wait for a minute. Now look at the temperature. Infants less than three months old can have normal body temperature between 97.5 to 99.5 degree Fahrenheit when taken using axillary method (under arm pit). For older babies, If the temperature is above 99 degree Fahrenheit then you should give paracetamol syrup prescribed by your pediatrician.
