Then dal rice with vegetables, khichadi, curd. Later mashed paneer. Add ghee to every meal and squeeze lemon wherever possible. Continue to breastfeed.

This process of introducing your baby to solid food should be done slowly and gradually. You can feed your baby single fruit or any single vegetable in a day initially and continue it for 3days. Give any fruit that is sweet in taste like apple or banana in smashed or puree form during day time. Opt for boiled smashed sweet potato or pumpkin as vegetable that is sweet in taste for your baby. Avoid mixture of fruits with milk or mixture of 2 fruits or 2 vegetables because doing so may cause colic to your baby. Do not add sugar or salt in your baby's food because it may cause harm for your baby's little stomach. While giving solid food, feed your baby breastmilk because it is essential for your baby's growth and all round development. If breastfeeding is not possible then give formula milk but don't stop breastfeeding till your baby turns 1 year old.
