Q.
Today my baby is 39 days old ,she is mostly in sleeping mode ,I mean whenever she taking milk she sleeps in between. I used to give milk (60-80ml) in 2-3 HR interval. she is taking almost 18 to 20 hrs sleep in a day. Is it normal? my in law's say she is sleeping all the time, when will she active or in playing mood?

ExpertDr. Mohammed imranPaediatrician4 years agoA. hello parent your kid is one month old babies of this age tend to sleep up per smaller duration with increase frequency that is normal in this age group do not worry over a period of time the sleep pattern changes as long as a child is active taking feeds well gaining weight do not worry

Ankita MehtaMom of a 10 yr 2 m old girl4 years agoA. hi all babies are different so they have their own specific sleep and feeding patterns. if your child looks happy and active when he or she is awake , gains enough weight then no need to worry about anything. or if you have any doubt please consult your pediatrician for once
