Feeding a baby while they are asleep increases the risk of choking, ear infections, and aspiration pneumonia. It is safer to feed your baby in an upright or semi-upright position to ensure proper swallowing and digestion.

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. You can start breastfeeding in the side-lying position right after your baby is born. Ask for help from your nurse or the hospital lactation consultant from the very first breastfeeding.
