Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Stomach pain in children is a common complaint seen frequently. There could be many reasons for this .it can be functional or due to some pathology which needs to be ruled out. Common causes are constipation gashieous discomfort worm infestation gastritis gastroenteritis or some chronic infection . Syp cyclopam 5 ml can be given sos for stomfach pain and consult your doctor for proper examintation to rule out the cause .

Constipation is the most common cause, but other culprits include gas, reflux, GERD, colic, stomach flu, upper respiratory infections, motion sickness, food allergies, lactose intolerance, intestinal blockage (obstruction), food allergies, other infections, and appendicitis.Abdominal pain in children may not have a physical cause — anxiety or stress may be its cause. Common causes of abdominal pain in children include wind, constipation and gastroenteritis. Young children and babies are more at risk of dehydration from gastroenteritis than adults.
