sore cough for my girl baby 2yrs of old, dr prescribed LS ascoril and L Monte, taking medicine 5 days, could you please suggest some home remedy

Crush and boil tulsi and ginger and filter to make tulsi ginger wrater.
(Honey can be added to this tulsi ginger water if age of the more than 1 year of age)
Give more water to drink to keep the child hydrated.
Also turmeric with milk can be given twice daily.
Saline drops for nasal blockage.
