sometimes my newborn of 3 weeks breastfeeds for more than 30-35 mins at a time and continues sucking even in his deep sleep. Should I allow him to suck as much as he likes or stop it after a certain amount of time?

ExpertDr Bandana JoshiAyurvedic Physician2 years agoA. No you should not encourage this practice of sucking even in sleep and max you should feed the baby fir 20 to 25 mins at one time and maintain time gap of two hours between two feeds take care

Sunita MahatoMom of 2 children2 years agoA. dont developing the sucking and sleeping habit.. as it will be difficult to stop.. try comforting if the baby is getting pee 6 to 8 times and sleeping well then baby is getting sufficient amount of milk
