A. they are also known as breath holding spells which many times occur due to change in behaviour of the child as well as it is commonly associated with iron deficiency anaemia. it is important that you should give firon supplements to the child as well as food rich in iron and during the episode it is important to move the child away from that environmentf to a new environment and then divert the child. it is a self limiting problem and will go away in next 2 or 3 months maximum

A. Breath-holding is when a baby or child stops breathing for up to 1 minute and may faint. It can happen when a child is frightened, upset, angry, or has a sudden shock or pain. It's usually harmless but can be scary for parents, particularly when it happens for the first time.
