Q.

So My Niece was just borned and He was Started with dose of 0.5 ml Vit D ( 400 IU ) Twice day. Recently He's also kept on Multivitamin Syrup/drops twice a day in which Dose of Vitamin D is 400 IU. Therefore a total of 1600 IU ( Counting Both 0.5ml drops and Multivitamin Syrup/drops ) So my Question is that Is it safe to give 1600 IU of Vitamin D to the Newborn baby ?

A. hi .. no u need not give this much of supplements u need to give only 400 IU of vit d to ur child give exclusive breast feeding till 6 months
