sir my son is 1.3 yr old having low grade fever that last for 4-5 days and foul smell stool semiliquid sometimes loose motions.This episode are repeated since 4 months ago to till now.We are doing stool RE ME some doctor said it's viral some said it's bacterial.Preprobiotics are giving,but this time we are doing stool test that found giardia lambia in stool .we are giving metronidazole twice a day and ofloxacin.This two medicine we had given in all episodes but what is the cause of the fever and foul smell stool(4-5 times per day)-2 days then after giving ofloxacin it's 2 times a day.we are giving again stool test after 3 days of giving metronidazole then giardia are not found in stool.Stool acidic in nature, colour greenish yellow,mucus(+),fat drops present (++),food remain - nil, vegitable cells- occasionally seen, consistency- paste.What to do?
